Al Marmoom Domes

WHERE WE ARE

Al Marmoom Domes sits inside the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, off Al Qudra Road in the Ghadeer Barashy area of Dubai. The nearest landmark people know is Last Exit Al Qudra.

The reserve is the first unfenced desert conservation reserve in the UAE, launched in 2018. It covers around a tenth of the emirate of Dubai — desert, lakes and the wildlife that lives between them.

FINDING THE ENTRANCE

Any car can get here. A sedan is fine — you do not need a four-wheel drive.

We send you a location pin before you travel. Use that rather than searching for the name — the final approach is desert road, and the turning is easier to miss than to find.

There is a reception when you arrive, and a member of staff meets every car and takes you to your dome. A butler looks after you for the rest of your stay.

Everything here needs a car. Arabian oryx and gazelles are the animals you are most likely to see, usually early morning or around sunset, and there are flamingos and other birds near the lakes in the cooler months. None of it is guaranteed — it is a wild place, not an enclosure.
